KineticDog is thrilled to be hosting Ashley Deacon on March 20 & 21.  He is also judging our UKI trial on March 22 & 23.  Ashley is a highly sought-after judge and instructor and we are excited to be hosting him for the first time  ever!  The workshops and trial will be held at Orchard Hills Dog Training in Barto, PA.  The site is indoors and heated on Sprinturf.  

Ashley Deacon is one of the most accomplished agility competitors in USA history. He has been competing in agility at the highest levels since 2004. Together with his two Pyrenean Shepherds, Luka and Dash, he has won USA national level agility competitions on 15 occasions (AKC Nationals 3 times, AKC Invitational twice, Cynosport/USDAA Grand Prix 5 times and Cynosport/USDAA Steeplechase 5 times). He has also represented the USA at the FCI World Agility Championships on 5 occasions, winning the individual gold medal in 2011, and the team silver medal in 2009. Ashley is currently training his young border collie Neve. 

Over the last few years Ashley has dedicated much of his agility time to judging regularly for UKI. During this time, he has judged numerous National level events, including the US Open (2021 and 2022); the West Coast Open (2024), and the inaugural 1-TDC North American Invitational (2024). Ashley has been invited to judge the prestigious World Agility Open Championships in 2026.  In addition, he is judging the 2025 US Open, 2025 Korean Open, and the 2026 1-TDC Invitational.  Ashley is a co-owner of Golden Gate Dog Sports in San Francisco and is dedicated to coaching and helping students grow in the sport by building a strong connection with their dogs.

Young Dogs – Forward Focus
Thursday 3/20 9am-12:30pm
This workshop will focus on Startline focus, driving ahead, and driving through rear crosses.  This the perfect workshops for youngsters that have graduated from puppy classes but are not quite putting together coursework.  Prerequisite: Decent start line stay!  Jumps and tunnels only.

Should I Turn or Should I Go?
Thursday 3/20 – 1:30pm-5pm
This workshop will focus on sequencing fast lines and turns.  Perfect for the intermediate level dog.  Jumps and tunnels only.

International Handling – Layering
Friday 3/21 – 9am-12:30pm
We will attack courses geared towards the highest levels with an emphasis on layering.  All equipment may be used.

International Handling – Threadles
Friday 3/21 – 1:30pm-5pm
We will attack courses geared towards the highest levels with an emphasis on threadle slices and threadle wraps.  All equipment may be used.
